I support your petition. Free NameSwee. His video is implying the truth about the injustice in Malaysia. Being a country moving towards Wawasan 2020, our government should face it with open mind, take it as constructive feedback rather than sweeping it under the carpet. How long do we want to stay like this while the world is changing so fast?

he is telling the truth..
100% truth. pure facts.

We never got the chance to voice out. His bravery should not be labeled as illegal, but a breakthrough. There is freedom of speech and creativity.
What we have been through is nothing compared to this video as to this country..
nobody dares say anything until now. Finally, the light is led in. The sky is brightened up for the very first time. Justice prevails, i.e. truth reigns.

Set him free. Wake up, and make sense. Set him free.

For those who are already in oversea and live comfortably. There is no reason for you to come back to Malaysia. Life in Malaysia is getting tougher each day.

Frankly, as a Chinese, I don't see there is any future for our next generation.

Another dangerous mentor that people always use is JFK "Don't ask what the country can do for you, ask what you can do for the country."

Is sound nice, but isn't how German Nazi and Japan militarism started the world war using the same mentor? Under the great "ask what you can do for the country."

Patriotism? Yes, I understand how you feel. Your love for the country was spoilt by the political party. Since non-malays will always be a second-class citizen, so you are probably the same in any other countries, if not better.

You get cannibalised by your own countrymen, intellectually and professionally.

As someone else advised, be a global citizen.

Patriotism does not need you to be in Malaysia to work your due. Let no one pointed at you and say you are a traitor if your true intention is to generate good deeds for Malaysia wherever you are.

Save your time about coming back to Malaysia. Nothing will change in Malaysia. At least not even in this lifetime. Racism will still be here to stay and also everything else.

I think there is such an entrenched discrimination against the Chinese and Indians in Malaysia, that it will take probably a whole generation to undo the damage.

This is happening in whole spectrum of the Malaysia government, civil service, state governments and universities. Just look at percentage of malays in all these government bodies - 98%.

A whole generation of malays has been brought up to think that it is their inherited right to own Malaysia. The other races are damned.

I think the malays especially those in power, are scared right now that if they will to compete openly with other races, they will surely be the loser. You will see very strong resistance to hire other races even the most qualified.

The malays are never brought up to compete on even ground. This is fault of previous prime minister and now the present prime minister has to tread a balance ground to ensure the malays are not cast away as well as to make Malaysia competitive worldwide.

In US I never met a malay immigrant, although there are thousands of Malaysian Chinese and Indian immigrants. Why? Malays in Malaysia have an easier life where they are literately prince of the land.

We have infrastructure good enough to be considered first world or better. Look at the Cyberjaya, Petronas Twin Towers, Putrajaya!

Gleaming high-rise buildings but also in every city, dirty toilets abound, litter clogging up the drains, public telephones damaged, plus unreliable rubbish collection and disposal. We just treat public facilities badly, not caring about others.

Being an urban dweller myself, I am constantly disheartened by the poor public infrastructure and upkeep in our capital city.

Faulty pedestrian traffic signals, illogical positioning of bus stops, poor public cleanliness, poor quality sidewalks (which are paved using slippery tiles), poorly managed and unintegrated public transportation system, the list goes on.

Your children can't even walk safely along the Kuala Lumpur streets, as they might be bags snatched, kidnapped, murdered, raped, or robbed, as they do not know the jungle laws of Malaysia. The police won't help much as they now have a big pile of corruption cases running after them.

You owe nothing to Malaysia, you pay your due, so live on.

So, my last advice. Don't come back unless you are really suffering in oversea.

I am sorry this sounds very racist but I think we have to be honest in discussion.

First of all, are we (the non-malays, that is) really to believe that the government will abolish or tone down the New Economic Policy in the near future?

We must be realistic, if you have the right to buy a property at a discount and have scholarships for your children, would you let go of these rights?

With Chinese population dwindling in Malaysia, what needs to be done depends on the Chinese themselves.

There is nothing wrong with the brain drain. In fact, we should encourage our children to move to Singapore, Taiwan, China etc, if we disagree with Malaysia government policies that are based on race and religion.

When it comes to the matter of the dwindling number of Chinese Malaysians, we should talk about quality, not quantity.

We should resolve why the Chinese-Malaysian population is reducing. Official figures have more than one million Chinese Malaysians emigrating over the past 25 years. Why did they emigrate? I am sure the government knows.

Straight A students can't get scholarships or university places. Nothing new, it is been that way for the past 35 years. Nowadays, even enlightened malay Malaysians are speaking up on this injustice. The Gerakan and MCA? Busy making money from private colleges.

What is so great about having TAR College or Utar which took more than 35 years of begging? Why should it be so difficult to set up an independent university when we have scores of public ones?

While we push young talented people away, other countries notably Singapore, Australia and the US welcome them with open arms.

Is it logical that we drive away our young talented ones and then invite retired Mat Sallehs to live here and exploit our low-cost of living?

Singapore's success in particular owes much to these ex-Malaysians or their descendants including Hon Sui Sen, Goh Keng Swee, Goh Chok Tong, just to name a few.

About 30 percent of top management in both Singapore's government and corporate sector are ex-Malaysians. We export them so that Singapore can compete with, and then whack us.

Korea and Taiwan, both way behind us in the 70s and 80s are now way ahead. Thailand is breathing down our necks.

Sadly, there is just no integrity in the nation's leadership.

I am currently in one of the top UK universities. Here, we have arguably some of the best minds from the younger generation of Malaysia; many of the top scorers from all over converge here. Every year, around 40 of us enter the university, as undergraduates or postgraduates, and every year, around the same number graduate.

So how many actually go back to Malaysia to contribute their talent to the country? Safe to say, not more than 10 percent of the whole lot. Why? Because quite a number us are disenchanted by the system.

For those who have worked their guts out under the public education system, they just want to get out. This is especially true for those from lower and middle-income families who have to struggle beyond all odds, just because they are not 'special' punished by the system not because of their abilities, but because of their skin color.

Prospects for them to explore their potentials here in the UK after graduation are unhindered by any discriminatory systems.

What about the rest of the younger generation who are not so lucky? Many above-average Malaysian students are denied proper local tertiary education and end up being picked by universities from our neighbouring country (Singapore).

Hundreds of talented students are there because they were not given the proper opportunity at home. After graduating, most of them have to work in that foreign country for a couple of years and chances are that a great portion of them will not be coming back.

I have talked to a close friend from in a similar situation recently and he told to me that it is very depressing; in his own words, he said that he feels "like a destitute, unwanted by his own country" and yet he does not really feel as though he belongs where he is now.

Brain drain by the tank-loads is what we get. Every single year, Malaysia loses people who could potentially contribute to the country immensely.

The population of the Chinese Malaysians has plummeted from approximately 40 percent in 1957 to around 25 percent in 2000 although I do not have any figures for the Indians.

This trend will continue further until somebody stops the erosion of non-malay rights. Let me give a few examples:

(1) In 1957, most government documents were printed in Chinese, English, Malay and Tamil. At present, some government documents are printed only in malay e.g. income tax forms. This shows that only the malay language is important in Malaysia. Signboards must have their malay wording bigger in size than other languages.

(2) Mosques are mushrooming all over the place, even in non-malay majority areas while the building of new temples and churches are far and few between. When Dr Mahathir declared Malaysia an Islamic state, Gerakan and MCA dared not speak out against this. This only goes to show that they are both just puppets of Umno.

(3) New Chinese schools are severely restricted from being approved and built even in Chinese majority areas where the demand is high. But new national schools are being built with much gusto even if they are highly underutilised. How can Gerakan and MCA dare to say that they fight for Chinese education when parents have to send their children to far away places every morning because competition for near-homes schools is very stiff.

(4) Rich malays are granted a seven percent discount when buying luxury houses and some of them are even buying an extra house for their second wife, whereas poor non-malays have to fork out the full non-subsidised amount for their first low or medium-cost house.

Instead of migrating, please have a thought toward the unfortunates who neither have the money nor the talent to migrate overseas and that includes your friends and relatives. After all, the ancestors of the major races in Malaysia are all from different countries, the Chinese from China, the Indians from India, and the Malays from Indonesia.

If the blacks in the United States, which comprises only 10 percent of the population, and the French in Canada, which comprises 25 percent of the population, and can fight for greater equal rights, why can't the non-malays here in Malaysia?

Let us all vote for fairness and meritocracy.

We have never experienced any racial discrimination in any form whatsoever the many years I have been in Canada. A Vietnamese sushi chef here I know was once a refugee at Pulau Betong. He like many others, I know has prospered and his children have all gone through university.

Malaysia loss of talents to other countries is the result of the pervasive special rights now entrenched in the constitution.

It was meant to last for 25 years to allow - in the words of the first prime minister - "the malays to catch up with the Chinese". It is now 49 years later.

In foreign countries such as Canada, it is the majority that has to take care of minority rights be it the gays, the natives, the women and whatever groups there are. We pay heavy taxes but these go for the low income and poor people irrespective of color, creed or race.

So malay, you may keep your rights and perpetuate them. Such things are archaic. Who loses in the end? Your country, which should have been a first world one by today.

I am a dental student in the US from Malaysia. Have been living in the US for about 7 years now and I would like to share some insights that may help view things from another perspective.

Lets consider few other interesting facts:

A comment was made where even the western countries are going through a phase of "brain drain". Let me tell you that it is not true.

This is why. Countries like the US are continuously reaching out in welcoming more and more foreign citizens in all important fields such as engineering, IT and medical. They will never go through "brain drain".

1. If you recently graduated from a dental or medical school in the US, regardless of where you are from, you are eligible to apply for an expedited green card. In fact, they will approve your green card almost immediately so that you can start working.

2. All professors are encouraged to do research and studies in the summer and publish them. The more publication you have, the more likely you will receive a raise.

3. US was worried from a report published few months ago that foreign enrollment for masters were dropping due to tighter visa restrictions. They admitted that less foreign enrollment would greatly affect the R&D of the country. Why? Most R&D is done by foreigners and they are greatly recognized for it.

4. I know a South Korean guy who graduated from my school and went on becoming a dentist. Two years after graduating from dental school, he returned to my university to give a presentation. His English was fair, not that great but guess what, his two dental practices in the State of Utah, made US$3 million a year profit (not revenue).

5. In Malaysia, the pay for a medical lab assistant with a bachelor is RM800 - RM1000. In the US, the pay for the same position is US$1800 - US$2400. And they do look at color actually. If you are a foreigner (with a permit of course), silently preference will be given to you……….because they are loyal and hardworking.

To make it fair, even without converting the currency, we can see which country values its citizens and strives to improve their R&D. (Keep in mind, things are cheaper in the US than in Malaysia, without converting the currency. You are lucky if you can buy a decent car.)

With all this said, if a person is qualified and have a family to support, why would they want to go through the trouble of "not getting admitted to university because of race quota filled", "not getting promotion because of color", and lastly after spending more than RM400000 on medical school, you are to spend 5 years slave labouring for the government, not knowing how you are going to pay off the debt and support your family although you hold the prestige "Dr".

These are all things that distract from progressing for an individual and for the country. Our country is losing a lot of time and so talents but subjecting all these on qualified individuals. So what you to do, not let this effect your progression.

We have to take care of ourselves first and after that worry about patriotism. Patriotism is not going to put food on the table or grow money tree outside my house.

I am not planning on returning back to Malaysia (to settle) unless things change in Malaysia. But with the money I will earn, I can visit Malaysia every year and contribute to the tourism industry. When I reach the age of 60 and retire, then I will return to Malaysia.

There are push and pull factors involved. An emigrant is both trying to escape something and advance towards another thing at the same time.

For instance, a scientist who cannot flourish in his own country will want to go somewhere where his expertise is appreciated. Perhaps he finds the anti-intellectualism in his milieu too stifling (unfortunately, this is very true in Malaysia), or the government of the day too partial when it comes to resource allocation.

You see, the major problem with a not insignificant number of Malaysians is that there is a lot of false pride around. This is a vestige of Mahathirianism. Small achievements are overblown so as to build up national pride. It is Malaysia Boleh this and Malaysia Boleh that.

Anyway, I say cheer the emigrants on. Let people do what they want with their lives - they should not be beholden to the country. Do not blame their lack of patriotism for not staying - patriotism is poor persuasion.

We made a decision to emigrate to Australia 15 years ago deserting my high fly corporate position with our three children.

If history could turn back, we would still do the same.

It is a joke when our three children are fully qualified in their respective professions, then our Malaysia leaders only realize that "Actually English is very important in this era of globalization, let us go back to English again in our primary school for science and mathematics subjects".

It is fortunate that we had our own thinking and were able to jump out from this "black box" of trial and error type of management in practically every aspect of the government administration machinery. As a result, our children do not waste their precious years.

Our children enjoy the experience of equal opportunity not only in education but also in employment. That has a very strong impact in character development because then they believe in themselves, i.e. their own ability and equal opportunity available for personal development to the fullest extent.

And they could fight for their own rights too simply because the environment encourages them to do so, i.e. freedom to think, and freedom to express. They enjoy their work in their respective professions and they have both close Australian and Asian friends.

The Australian authority treats the problem of racial discrimination very seriously and takes action very fast. I still remember those days when my youngest son was teased by certain racial remarks by his schoolmate. My wife reported the case to the school authority and after a proper investigation, the Aussie kid was made to make a public apology to my son and was suspended a week from school attendance.

Australia herself is a country of migrants from all over the world, the Italians, the British and other Europeans also never give up their citizenships although they may stay for over many many years. If they tell you to go back to China, you have equal right to tell them to go back to whatever country they come from. "Fight for your right" is the spirit.

What we are concerned is actually the management of the country. There is enough wealth to be distributed among all the people who can theoretically enjoy better education, better life and medical facility. But poor management and the evil "corruption" have eroded away what the people deserve. If people demand a change, "racialism" is always a powerful tool to protect the regime.

The Australian government extinguishes any little spark that concerns racial issue. There are strict laws and they are very good in enforcement. The two party systems ensure no one monopolizes the government. If the government is not good, people will vote it out for sure.

It is a land of plenty, and of equal opportunity for everyone. One will make his way if he is prepared to seize the opportunity and work hard for it. No one believes in "God" will give, and most believes the creation and reward from their own hands and intelligence.

Though we pay high taxes, the future is more or less ensured as in case we are sick or in difficulty, we have all the assistance from the authority. It is the right for every kid in Australia to have the opportunity to finish his tertiary education if he could make an attempt and possible financial assistance is always there.

Australia's economy is very robust now and most universities graduates and school leavers are doing very well. My three kids who are qualified as professionals at a very young age are doing very well. They would not have achieved that type of level if we were to remain in our country of birth. Thank God!

We face less racial discrimination in workplace and university in Australia than in our country of birth.

The ironical fact is that we are being treated more a first class citizen in our host country than in our own country.

Human rights, good administration, equal opportunity and transparency convince us that it is no point wasting our precious time in our own country.

If you really miss our own country, earn and save more money in the host country and join the shiver hair program later on. If you have the money, any country will welcome you for sure.

In general, it is an educated society. People talk not shout, and people reason not accuse and more over, it is a much cleaner and more beautiful place to live. I am pleased with my decision and have no regrets at all.

Emigration and migration of human beings is a pre-requisite of human development and progress. Without migration, human beings would be doomed to an existence worse than that of animals. Even animals migrate to seek a better habitat.

Patriotism is not a one-way thing, it is a two-way commitment. If one finds that one's loyalty and patriotism is not reciprocated as having to live with a corrupt government, discriminatory policies, inhumane and repressive laws etc, one has a right to review one's commitment and patriotism if one so chooses.

Why would people stay if their talents are not recognised in their own country and they do not have the opportunities to develop their potential? Why remain when they can have these opportunities in another country?

Indeed, it is very fortunate that we all live in this day and age of globalisation where we are free to live and work anywhere in the world as long as we have the skill and talent.

There is much less reason now to put up with bad governments, or corrupt, oppressive and racist regimes, anywhere in the world.

Of course the grass is never greener on the other side. You still need the same energy, enterprise and sometimes luck to make it. But there is no doubt in my mind and in those who have worked here and overseas - the playing field is more level abroad.

Whilst, I may add that most lower, middle-class Malaysian citizens and professionals are the main bulk of immigrants to countries abroad. They need to get settled first and have a few contacts to start life anew.

To expect them to be millionaires in businesses will take a generation or more and we are beginning to see that now. If they had not emigrated, they would have been hard pressed to send their children abroad and everybody knows the quota system for universities, jobs, job opportunities and promotions back home.

In Canada, we experience the best there is in life. Every citizen has equal rights. They have done well in every aspect of life.

In the US, anyone whether black, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Mexican etc, has the right to run for president. There are no restrictions, one only needs to secure the votes.

Nobody should operate under the assumption that migration is a bed of sweet, smelling roses. Roses have thorns.

Certainly, migration is not a dirty word. In fact, migration is the reason for this multiethnic paradise I call home today. The question is, can Malaysia retain its talents?

We are simply losing good people to the more developed countries, and this problem is also faced by other countries such as China and India.

Singapore has been absorbing our talents regardless of the medium of instruction they have been taught in.

Perhaps the biggest slap on our face is the fact that thousands and thousands of Malaysians have been recruited to bloom in the Lion City's workforce, while our own industry leaders have done nothing to help the government keep these investments from going abroad.

Many people leave the country for a variety of reasons. Some leave for economic reason, some for better education, some over concerns for the climate of democracy in their home country.

There is no reason to deride any migrant for their choices in life. Every human being is entitled to the right of physical, social and geographical mobility - you seek your place on earth and call it home.

So leave if you must, go while you can, but don't give up on the march. That is a worthy sacrifice that requires courage.

Congratulations to those who have found a better future in life.

Malaysia has the misfortune of being ruled by Muslims, hence their intolerant attitude to you non-malays.

It was the Chinese and Indian minorities that have begun to lift Malaysia out of third world poverty, and those malay bastards should be grateful to them for this but like I said before, that is too much to ask from a Muslim.

Malaysia is a xenophobic country - the bitter truth is that malays are afraid of competition from other races - they are indeed lazy and want everything for free.

If Malaysia is to divide into two countries with malays taking the east and the west to the Chinese and Indians - watch the malays starting to migrate to the west illegally for a better future.

It is no wonder Singapore is a country which is 50 years ahead of Malaysia. Malays are fool racists indeed.

The reader/writer should know that most of non-malay community realised what the government have done to them is unforgiven.

If we still depending on government, we won't be in top position in overseas, for example (70% in NASA is Indians), two-thirds of the community of practicing doctors in Singapore is Malaysian Chinese.

We (non-malay community) have been proven our intelligence around the world but not in Malaysia. So what we have to do just emigrate or use Malaysia as an investment base.

Actually we (non-malays) should know that government will never change their policies unless there is a protest, here we don't do that - that is the problem, anything the government says we just simply raise the Barisan flag.

It will be good idea if we emigrate, like one say in English, 'Where is a will, there is a way.'

But always remember the 'will' for non-malays is not in Malaysia.

I am not trying to show off with my qualification. What I am trying to say is that Malaysia will lost out if all these highly qualified and educated people do not want to go home. Frankly, I have start up my family in the UK and also a very successful business. I have been working towards my success starting from zero. Not even 1 penny or cent from the Malaysia government. I am fed up with the corruption and discrimination in Malaysia. I agree with Vokoyo and oversee "if we disagree with Malaysia government policies that are based on race and religion then we should move out of the country" and I did. Some people might say I am coward or traitor but why should I stay if the government treat me as nothing? I feel human living in the UK and everyone is being treated the same no matter what's the colour of your skin. Imagine living in a country which people like Haji Badruddin keep calling chinese "cina babi, this is islamic country if you don't like it, keluar" Or the future leader like Khairy saying something unreasonable. I feel insecure and ashamed. I cannot see the future for the next generation. Therefore, sorry to say but I am a proud BRITISH now.

hey..y shud the government do this to him?he just write his feelings into his song and sing them out..is it break the law?omfg.. btw he is just telling the truth..haiz... free him please.. he still got a colourful future...zzz...

i just don't get it. He's really patriotic. He even wrote a song for our country and expressed his love for our country through that song. About the others, he's just telling the truth! What's wrong? scared of people revealing the truth to people from other country? what a dissapointing move taken by the government.
What he said is very very true, why arrest a patriotic youth when there's so many real bad people out there (especially in johor)?
Yes, the government should be more open minded. In fact, there're also people from Singapore uploaded MV's and insulting their country. those are actually worst. Those are mere insultations as if it's not their country. Yet, their goverment did not take any actions as far as i know.
Open your eyes Malaysia goverment. This person is clean.

Malay, India and Chinese are all nice people. Great tolerant and friendly by nature. But, the government of Malaysia is the culprit who created the recial tension and unfairness. If the governement continue to practise what they did during the past 40years, not long in the future all races in Malaysia will suffer including the Malay. I hope the Malay will stand-up for their own good.

The Malay will benefit more if they have a happy neighbours.

Why denial others the basic right? The government has to understand that the non-Malay will become more Malaysian if they are treaty fairly.

I hope the Politician in Malaysia can spend some quiet moments to think about the damage they had brought to the country.

Elegant promotion video on CNN will not save the nation. Long live is the truth. Why Namewee want to risk his life? Why non-Malays are leaving Malaysia each year. It will not help Malaysia in a long run.

Malays need help. I think all non-Malays have no problem to support a policy that will empower the Malays. But, why the policy has to marginalize other races.

Education is the basic right of every citizen. Why bias? What benefit the government have in denial the right of education?

Namewee, the history will prevail. Your honesty and bravery hopefully will help this corrupt and falling nation.

Well.....Instead of working on my course preparation and writing some papers, I spent the whole day reading the blogs. My dean will tear my ass apart if he finds out. Luckily, it is summer.

I don't realize how much I care about Malaysia until this shocking (or not so?) incident. Meng Chee rocks. But the reality stinks. Why do the non-Malays get the "commuppance"?

Malaysia government will not change. We cannot expect people who make a living through corruption to change. It will not happen. If you want to see change, you would have to apply force and the consequence would be bloodshed. I doubt we want that.

A few of you living overseas extolled the "kindness" and generousity offered. However, this is not how I feel. I have suffered from both subtle and blatant discrimination in university and some places I lived. Yes, you are right. I lived in the hilly-billy where KKK ran rampant. Anyway, I don't want to get into the details. I just feel that I belong to no place. I have no home; I have no country. I feel extremely isolated and lonely. My husband and I are working very hard to make the cut. Living in US, for us, has not been easy. I am a mediocre person with mediocre skills. Armed with no talent whatsoever, I busted my ass to make it. The good thing about US is that it offers everyone a chance even to a mediocre person like me. BUT...I don't have a sense of belonging.

Living in US has turned me into a nihilist at night and misantrophe in the day. I just wish I can have a place to call home.

被抓起来的毒贩,因为呈堂证物失窃,而毫发无损;

90% 的国家大工程,全指定由土著公司来承办;

高官部长们都太忙了,除了“治理”国家,
还要打理自己旗下的公司;

财政部规定学校里的文具都要跟指定的某四家土著公司订购才行;

马来小学越来越多,校舍越来越炫;
淡米尔小学和华文小学越来越少,校舍越来越烂;

华人人口占多数的市镇,马来小学数目比华小多;

I will have to say, FREE NAME WEE. Don't penalise and execute people for telling the truth, where is the democratic spirit that the country has been practising.

If what is said and talked about right now is not true and baseless, why should the government be so nervous and tried to cover up everything. Those who wanted to nail namewee down are those political leaders who are Malay. I am very sure they wanted namewee captured because they feel ashamed of themselves.

"Siapa yang makan cili, akan terasa pedasnya"

Free namewee. Don't prosecute an innocent guy who are just telling the truth. Don't hide behind the power that you have (autocratic) and be a MAN, stand up and face these. If it is wrong, ignore it, if it is right, correct it.

Malay indeed get a lot of benefits from the government compared to chinese. If this is really a fair and square multi racial country, why does this exist? Malays are Malaysians, Chinese are Malaysians too.

Well, well, I'm STILL a Malaysian working in China.
Heard of talks back at home criticizing the Chinaman right? But now I feel ashamed to see how corrupted, dangerous Malaysia is and that our beloved country is moving backward. Whilst, China is marching on and developing speedily. So who fare better?
Probably next GE is the last hope for me, I'll go back to vote. Probably if the racist government still continue to rule, and they will unless Malaysian with voting rights come out to vote them out. One last chance for me before I start to shortlist some countries to migrate to.

Namewee's songs are provocative & explicit in nature. Yet they carry the truth. Nothing but the truth. Truths that many of us Malaysians know of, but are too afraid to reveal, or even talk about publicly. Namewee, in his own way, merely acts as a "social mirror" reflecting all that is hapenning around us. Bad or good, he conveys messages that remind us the importance of speaking your minds.
To apprehend Namewee is to kill the Freedom of Speech! Let us (Malaysia) not be a laughing stalk amongst the rest of the world! A country that respects Freedom of Speech respects its People! FREE NAMEWEE!!!!!!

4。没有证据显示明志有意图煽动。
5。明志创作歌曲时不在马来西亚。
6。台湾不会因为这种可笑原因引渡一个没有罪的人。

Baseless accusation never stands.

1.The song does not have any elements of instigation, this proves that the source of instigation (if there is any) is something else (e.g. some newspaper).
2.Except the first video, all other negarakuku videos were not uploaded by Namewee. The first one was already deleted by youtube early in the beginning.
3.No evidence shows how many people's hatred or wrongdoing this song has caused.
4. No evidence shows Namewee has intention of instigation.
5. Namewee did not make this song in Malaysia.
6. Taiwan will not extradict an innocent man based on such absurd reason.

Although might not an good idea to voice out the truth by borrow National Athem to brush up the whole song. But the fact is, this song is good and it did voice out all the facts that had been happened everyday in this country.

Government and those politician don't want to face the fact but keep finding ways to "punish" the person that dare to voice out the secret which already not a secret anymore, and keep finding excuse to cover thier own ass.

People always say government should protect small amount people... but it seems here is the other way round.

Government keep saying don't keep fight back but must appreciate what government has done for we people..

ya... right...

See... this is what government has done.. :

These lists cover a period of about 49 years since Independence Day in Malaysia (1957):

(1) Out of all the 5 major banks in Malaysia, only one bank is own by multi-racial, the rest are controlled by Malays.

(2) 99% of Petronas (the only one petroleum company) directors are Malays, and the former Prime Minister work as Consultant in Petronas.

(3) 3% of Petronas employees are Chinese.

(4) 99% of 2000 Petronas gasoline stations are owned by Malays.

(5) 100% all contractors working under Petronas projects must be "bumi's status" (Malay).

(6) 0% of non-Malays staffs are legally required in Malay's companies. But there must be 30% Malays staffs in Chinese companies and shareholder. Which this mean non-Malays own company needs to give their property to Malays. And non-Malays citizen can't really own their business.

(7) 5% of all new intake for government police, nurses, army, is non-Malays.

(8) 2% is the present Chinese staff in Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), drop from 40% in 1960.

(9) 2% is the percentage of non-Malays government servants in Putrajaya (Malaysia main government office). But Malays make up 98%.

(10) 7% is the percentage of Chinese government servants in the whole government (in 2004), drop from 30% in 1960. Only 2 position for non-Malays in political status.

(11) 95% of government contracts are given to Malays; even it is an open tender. Non-Malays contractors tender the lower price and use better materials can't get the contract that government given.

(12) 100% all business licenses are controlled by Malay government e.g. Taxi permits, Approved permits, etc. and all the license are given to government officer families.

(13) 80% of the Chinese rice millers in Kedah (north of peninsular Malaysia had to be sold to Malay and controlled by Bernas (Government Org.) since 1980s. Otherwise, life is make difficult for Chinese rice millers.

(14) 100 big companies set up, owned and managed by Chinese Malaysians were taken over by government, and later managed by Malays since 1970's e.g. UTC, UMBC, MISC, etc. This company now is the sole company.

(15) At least 10 Chinese owned bus companies (throughout Malaysia, throughout 40 years) had to be sold to MARA or other Malay transport companies due to rejection by Malay authority to Chinese application for bus routes and rejection for their application for new buses.

(16) 2 Chinese taxi drivers were barred from driving in Johor (South of Peninsular Malaysia) Larkin bus station. There are about 30 taxi drivers and 3 are Chinese in October 2004. Spoiling taxi club properties was the reason given.

(17) 0 non-Malays are allowed to get shop lots in the new Muar (city in south peninsular Malaysia ) bus station (November 2004).

(18) 8000 billions ringgit is the total amount the government channeled to Malays pockets through ASB, ASN, MARA, privatization of government agencies like Tabung Haji etc, through NEP over 34 years periods.

(19) 48 Chinese primary schools closed down since 1968 â € " 2000

(20) 144 Tamil primary schools closed down since 1968 - 2000

(21) 2637 Malay primary schools built since 1968 - 2000

(22) 2.5% is government budget for Chinese primary schools. Tamil schools got only 1%, Malay schools got 96.5%

(23) While a Chinese parent with RM1000 salary (monthly) cannot get school-text-book-loan, and a Malay parent with RM2000 salary is eligible.

(24) 10 all public universities vice chancellors are Malays. And politics in universities are held by Malays. If non-Malays want to form a politics parties, there is no way to get approved. (25) 5% - the government universities lecturers of non-Malay origins had been reduced from about 70% in 1965 to only 5% in 2004 with the reason Malaysia Education Ministry give full support for Malays only.

(26) Only 5% is given to non-Malays for government scholarships over 40 years.

(27) 0 Chinese or Indians were sent to Japan and Korea under "Look East Policy".

(28) 128 STPM (High Study / A Level) Chinese top students could not get into the course that they aspired i.e. Medicine and doctors (in 2004). Malays with not qualify result can get into the course.

(29) 10% place for non-bumi students for MARA science schools beginning from year 2003, but only 7% are filled. Before that it was 100% Malays.

(30) 50 cases whereby Chinese and Indian Malaysians, are beaten up in the National Service program since 2003.

(31) 25% is Malaysian Chinese population in 2004, drop from 45% since 1957 because government are not support non-Malays like government support Malays.

(32) 7% is the present Malaysian Indians population (2004), a drop from 12% since 1957.

(33) 2 millions Chinese Malaysians had emigrated to overseas since 40 years ago due to unfair politics.

(34) 0.5 million Indians Malaysians had emigrated to overseas.

(35) 3 millions Indonesians had migrated into Malaysia and became malaysian citizens with bumi's status.

(36) 600000 are the Chinese and Indians Malaysians with "red I/C" (a temporary identity card) and were rejected repeatedly when applying for citizenship for 40 years. Perhaps 60% of them had already passed away due to old age. This shows racism of how easily Indonesians got their citizenships compare with the Chinese and Indians

(37) 5% - 15% discount for a Malay to buy a house, regardless whether the Malay is rich or poor

(38) 2% is what Chinese new villages get compare with 98% of what Malays villages got for rural development budget..

(39) 50 road names (at least) had been change from Chinese names to other names.

(40) 1 Dewan Gan Boon Leong (in Malacca) was altered to other name ( e.g.Dewan Serbaguna or sort) when it was being officially used for a few days. Government tries to shun Chinese names. This racism happened in around year 2000 or sort.

(41) 0 temples/churches were built for each housing estate. But every housing estate MUST got at least one mosque/surau built.

(42) 3000 mosques/surau were built in all housing estates throughout Malaysia since 1970 with full government support. No temples, no churches are built in housing estates that supported by government.

(43) 1 Catholic Church in Shah Alam took 20 years to apply to be constructed. But told by Malay authority that it must look like a factory and can't look like a church. Still not yet approved since 2004.

(44) 1 publishing of Bible in Iban language banned (in 2002)

(45) 0 of the government TV stations (RTM1, RTM2, and TV3) have directors of non-Malays origin.

(46) 30 government produced TV dramas and films always showed that the bad guys had Chinese face, and the good guys had Malay face. You can check it out since 1970s. Recent years, this tendency becomes less.

(47) 10 times, at least, Malays (especially Umno) had threatened to massacre the Chinese Malaysians using May 13 since 1969.

(48) 20 constituencies won by DAP would not get funds from the government to develop. Or these Chinese majority constituencies would be the last to be developed

(49) 100 constituencies (parliaments and states) had been racist re-delineated so Chinese voters were diluted that Chinese candidates, particularly DAP candidates lost in election since 1970s

(50) Only 3 out of 12 human rights items are ratified by Malaysia government since 1960

(51) 0 elimination of, all forms of racial discrimination (UN Human Rights)is not ratified by Malaysia government since 1960s

(52) 20 reported cases whereby Malay ambulance attendance treated Chinese patients inhumanely, and Malay government hospital staffs purposely delay attending to Chinese patients in 2003. Unreported cases may be 200

(53) 50 cases each year whereby Chinese, especially Chinese youths being beaten up by Malay youths in public places. We may check at police reports provided the police took the report, otherwise there will be no record

(54) 20 cases every year whereby Chinese drivers who accidentally knocked down Malays were seriously assaulted or killed by Malays

(55) 12% is what ASB/ASN (Malays Own banks) got per annum while banks fixed deposit is only about 3.5% per annum.

And more cases haven't been discovered.

Dear government:
By law you got the right to "lokap" Namewee. But I think most of our young nations do not know about the rules as to what we can and cannot do with the national song and flag. And I wonder whose fault is this? By punishing a young person because of his ignorant, what does it say about our unique value of forgiveness and "timbang rasa"?

1) to voice out our concern to media.
2) Get assistant from Goverment party or opposition party.

The reason i'm doing this is because million people talk only and will run away when ask for action. Remember : More people, More Power"

Is time to change now.

Govenment will not "niao" all of you here.

The reason is simple:

Govenment will do whatever things that could benefited for themself only but not for their people.

In public they will use their mouth to tell all of you that they care for you....infact they only care for themself...

Why they want to "niao" all of you??? it won't benefited them at all.....

Answer: because there is no word "DEMOCRACY" in their dictionary! Only got the word "BULI"

Frankly, I come from a wealthy family in Malaysia. My father owns 3 KLSE public listed company in Malaysia, but I have never studied in Malaysia since leaving the country at the age of 12.

My father urged everyone in the family to leave the country, because there isn't any hope/future for the Chinese's future generation. The only exception to this is that he required my elder brother to stay back in the country to run the family business, till the day it collapse. I am not going to mention which company my father acquire/run at the moment, but every single business was legitimately established, and my dad single-handedly built up his empire without the help from anyone outside the family. When my dad went over to KLSE and had a petition for his first company to be listed on KLSE, one of the requirements would be to have at a minimum of one(1) bumiputra director, and allocate a certain percentage of shares. As there weren't much of a choice but to give up those required amount of shares, about 18% of the company's share went to bumiputras who didn't/haven't contributed even in a minute scale to the empire, which my father and family spent his whole life to build.

Right at this very moment, my father and elder brother is running the company back in Malaysia, while I run an IT based company here in San Jose, CA, I am not obliged to allocate any shares to anyone as a requirement, unless I'm willing to sell part of my company to whoever pays the right price for it.

But one thing I would like to comment on is that Malaysia practices a policy which almost every, if not all countries practice, which is to give privilege to certain population. Unlike Malaysia, most countries give privilege/special rights to the minorities, whereas Malaysia pampers and breastfeed the majority.

Anyway, good luck to the Malaysian Chinese, hope justice would be served in the long term, and shall free speech be practiced.

I really don't understand. Please don't say I am cold blood teenager of politics. This really burns up my vains. I have read the newspapers these days. It is because I'm started to realize I can't stay quiet in this situation anymore. For me, Namewee sure is a talented man. The government should have invite him to improve the country. Even the Prime Minister and the former Prime Minister had agree to accept Namewee's apologize. Why can't we just let it end? I'm so dissapointed with our government. Why not just accept Namewee's apologize and shut up forever! (Sorry, I'm so angry. )Please don't said I don't love my country. Myself, as a Malay feel so embarrasing with my kind,my race, my people. Be open minded! For Wawasan 2020, let him free. Accept the truth and improve our economics, politics, social relation. In the name of Allah will not wish us to be so selfish just because chinese are doing better than us. Appreciate for what he had done. Not to be jealous. If the government wants to be a loser then go ahead to eliminate Namewee. I have nothing to say. I don't have any power to stop this from happening after all. We Malay are like the son of bitch! I can tell. (I don't think I should say sorry for this time. Cause I'm telling the truth!) What I see today is Malay have the government supporting them. In everything! Buying cars or houses, we got discount. Do chinese and indians have any of this kind of services? The truth is...they are way more better than us. Who brings up our business? NO chinese, no business, no country, no malay can live so well nowadays! Listen to your kind, your sincerely people of Malaysia. Free Namewee! Thank you. I believe for what i see.
